Empowering children and young people
Children and Young Person Counselling
Having worked in education for over 30 years I have vast experience of supporting children and young people. Additionally, through my work in education I gained significant experience working with neurodiverse adults and children, and have learnt how to adapt to individual needs. My person centred approach to counselling is fully supportive and adaptable; working on respect, honesty and unconditional positive regard for all ages and backgrounds.
I am fully aware of the difficulties faced by young people, particularly post-Covid. These can include areas such as self-esteem/confidence, anxiety, motivation, bullying, self-harm and school refusers whom I have had vast experience of working with within a pastoral support role which extended to families as well.
If you’re a guardian concerned about your child’s well-being, Your Blossoming Mind offers specialised counselling that adapts to individual needs. I invite you to reach out and explore how I can best support your child on their journey and empower them to thrive.
About
Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Psychotherapeutic counselling is a talking therapy that helps people explore their unconscious thoughts and feelings to understand and resolve problems. It's based on the idea that past experiences influence current behavior.
How it works
-
I help clients identify and explore past difficulties and conflicts
-
I encourage clients to talk freely and openly about their problems
-
I offer suggestions and interpretations to help clients make sense of their problems

Common reasons to seek therapy
At Your Blossoming Mind, I understand that each individual comes with their own unique story and journey. People seek therapy for many reasons, whether it's to navigate life's challenges, explore personal growth, or find healing. I'm here to support you as you uncover the themes and experiences that shape your path. Let's work together to discover the insights and strategies that will help you flourish.
It can be difficult to find a therapist who you feel connected to and someone who you can open up to. Contact me to arrange a free 20 minute consultation for further insight into how I can support the challenges you are facing and whether we would be a good match to enable you to find strength, perspective and healing.

Your path to nurturing growth starts here.
At some point in everyone’s life, there is a need to reach out for help and support. Just as you are a unique human being whatever problem you are facing will be individual to you and will therefore need exploring in an environment which is safe, where you are treated with respect, empathy and compassion and where every detail is confidential. In my counselling space, I can offer this, where the time you spend with me is your time and where we can work together with whatever you wish to bring into the room.

“Person-centered therapy is an optimistic, humanistic, and phenomenological approach to therapy. Person-centered theory posits that individuals have within themselves a capacity for dramatic and positive growth.”
